About

I graduated as a veterinarian in 2006 from Onderstepoort in Pretoria, laying the foundation for my career in animal care. I then spent several years working at various practices in the Western Cape, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of pet health. To further my expertise, I completed part-time Honours degrees in Clinical Pathology and Small Animal Medicine through Onderstepoort, driven by my commitment to providing the best care possible.

For two years, I worked closely with Dr. Sandy May in a laboratory setting, focusing on clinical pathology and cytology, which strengthened my diagnostic skills. My passion for ultrasound truly took shape at Tygerberg Animal Hospital, where I was fortunate to train under Dr. Nolan Moss and Dr. Frank Kettner. Their mentorship inspired a special interest in this field. Afterwards, I began working in Hermanus, offering ultrasound services to practices throughout the region, ensuring pets received the timely care they needed.

I’ve since attended numerous basic and advanced ultrasound courses, as well as echocardiography training, to continually enhance my abilities. At M-SCAN, my mission is to deliver high-quality mobile ultrasound and echocardiography services, reflecting my deep dedication to animal health and the wellbeing of pets, so both veterinarians and owners can make informed decisions with confidence.
